At VINGSTED, we take our responsibilities seriously – when it comes to the environment, food and people. We have been Green Key certified for the 29th time, have been awarded the Organic Food Label in bronze and work daily with small and large initiatives that make a real difference.

In 2025, VINGSTED Hotel & Conference Centre was Green Key certified for the 29th time. We have been members since October 1996 and have met Green Key’s ever-increasing requirements every year. This means that we have once again been approved as a company that meets a wide range of ambitious environmental requirements. We are proud of this – and we see it as a pat on the back, not an end in itself. Green Key is not a goal in itself, but an ongoing commitment.
Every action counts – big or small. Every little change in our regular routines, every paper cup we save, and every square metre we use more efficiently makes a difference in the big picture.

When you eat with us, you can be sure that everything that ends up on your plate has been carefully considered. Quality, freshness and consideration are key words in VINGSTED’s kitchen – and 30–60% of our ingredients are organic. That is why VINGSTED has been awarded the Organic Food Label in bronze.
In addition, VINGSTED’s kitchen prioritises seasonal ingredients – and as much as possible from the local area. Around 20 local suppliers provide the kitchen with everything from fruit and vegetables to eggs, meat and cheese. What they all have in common is high quality, consideration for animal welfare and a passion for their craft.

VINGSTED’s green transition does not end with Green Key certification; it is a task we will never be finished with.
It requires us to constantly reflect on our daily actions and dare to challenge the status quo. That is why we are continuously working to find new solutions – including through dialogue with employees, guests, suppliers and authorities.
Our focus areas and associated action plans include waste sorting, electricity consumption, heat supply, laundry, cleaning products, water consumption, disposable items, indoor climate and raw materials.
