15 hectares of beautiful nature in the middle of Vejle Ådal
20,000 years ago, there was ice here in VINGSTED. The meltwater formed the deep valley where Vejle Å now flows through lush nature. Steep slopes and dense beech forest surround the landscape and make the place something very special. VINGSTED has 15 hectares of this unique nature at its disposal – right outside the door.

At VINGSTED, nature is never far away – it surrounds you 360 degrees. When you step outside, the pace slows down and calmness sets in.
Research shows that stress levels drop significantly and concentration improves when you spend just a few minutes in nature.
Here, you can take a deep breath among the trees and feel how the river valley and wooded slopes give your break a whole new dimension.
Bindeballestien – on foot or by bike
Right next to the hotel, you will find Bindeballestien – a scenic and historic route that winds through the beautiful Vejle Ådal valley. The trail is ideal for a peaceful walk or an active bike ride, whether you want a short detour into nature or a longer excursion. Along the way, you can enjoy the silence, wildlife and rolling landscapes, which offer a special respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
For those who prefer to experience the route on two wheels, we offer free rental of bicycles and helmets. Just ask at reception.
Activities and outdoor areas
The green areas at VINGSTED are used for everything from team building on the meadow to ball games on your own initiative.
The landscape was shaped by the Ice Age, and you can really feel the valley with its steep, wooded slopes.
From here, you can go for a run through the forest, across the river valley at the historic Ravningbro bridge and back along the Bindeballestien trail – or choose a nature walk to Runkenbjerg.
Book in advance and we will open Denmark’s longest zipline, where you can whizz from the top of the slope, across the river valley and finally cross the Vejle Å river.
